So this week, I want to keep it simple. Three tools. All free. All already available to you. And all three can change how you make disciples — starting this week.

Tool #1: YouTube as a DMM Training Tool

Most people think of YouTube as entertainment. But for DMM practitioners, it’s one of the most powerful free training tools on the planet.

Our YouTube channel is packed with movement stories, training sessions, field testimonies, and practical tools — all designed to equip you and your team for Disciple Making Movements.

Here’s how to use it strategically:

For Team Training:

Pick one video before your next team meeting. Watch it together. Then ask the three questions:

  • “What did you hear?”
  • “What did you learn?”
  • “What will you do differently?”

For Personal Development:

Subscribe to the channel and turn on notifications. Treat it like a weekly training session — not background noise.

For Sharing:

Found a video that explains DMM better than you could? Send it to a leader in your network. Let the content do the work.

Tool #2: Google Translate for Cross-Cultural DMM

Here’s a tool that’s been on your phone this whole time — and most practitioners aren’t using it strategically.

Google Translate is free. It supports 100+ languages. And it can instantly translate your DMM resources, Discovery Group questions, training materials, and follow-up messages into the heart language of the people you’re trying to reach.

Here’s how to use it:

For Discovery Group Curriculum:

Paste your Discovery Group questions into Google Translate. Select the language. Share the translation with your local leader or Person of Peace.

For Training Materials:

Have a handout or guide you want to share with a cross-cultural team? Translate it in seconds. No professional translator needed for a first draft.

For Real-Time Conversation:

Tool #3: AI for Prayer — How to Pray More Specifically for Movements

This one might surprise you.

I keep hearing the same concern about AI: “Is this replacing the Holy Spirit?”

Here’s my honest answer: No. But it can help you pray more specifically, more strategically, and more consistently for the movements you’re trying to catalyze.

Think about it. Movements start on our knees. But prayer can feel vague, repetitive, or unfocused — especially when you’re praying for complex, global, multi-generational movements.

AI can help with that.

Here’s how:

For Specific Prayer Prompts:

Ask ChatGPT or the DMM Coach:

  • “Give me 7 prayer prompts for a leader starting their first Discovery Group.”
  • “Create a prayer guide for reaching a Muslim community with the gospel.”
  • “Give me 5 prayers based on Luke 10:2 for my city.”

For Team Prayer:

Ask AI to create a 30-day prayer calendar for your team focused on your specific context, people group, or movement goals.

For Personal Journaling:

Ask AI to help you process what God is teaching you:

  • “What does Scripture say about waiting on God in seasons of slow growth?”
