Welcome to Replication Essentials

Let’s be honest—when you hear “AI,” you might think it’s complicated, expensive, or not for you.

I get it. But here’s the thing: AI isn’t about replacing what you do. It’s about removing the friction so you can focus on what matters most—people.

Think of AI like a hybrid car. Two power sources. One mission. AI handles the heavy lifting—the administrative stuff, the translation work, the late-night questions—so you can stay focused on making disciples who make disciples.

This week, we’re walking through four AI tools that are already helping DMM practitioners around the world. These aren’t theoretical. They’re practical, accessible, and most of them are free.

Let’s dig in.

Tool #1: The DMM Coach (WhatsApp AI)

What it is: A 24/7 AI coach you can text on WhatsApp.

How it works: Save the number (+1-816-284-8470) to your contacts. Start a chat. Ask any question about Disciple Making Movements.

Why it matters: You don’t have to wait for office hours. You don’t have to feel stuck at 11 PM when you’re prepping for tomorrow’s group. Just ask.

Example questions:

  • “How do I handle someone who dominates the Discovery Group?”
  • “What’s the difference between a Person of Peace and just a friendly person?”
  • “How do I train someone to facilitate their first group?”

The bottom line: It’s like having a movement practitioner in your pocket.

Tool #2: ChatGPT for Discovery Group Prep

What it is: A free AI tool that can help you create questions, summarize passages, and prep for groups.

How it works: Go to chat.openai.com and create a free account. Then use simple prompts.

Example prompts:

  • “Summarize Luke 15:11-32 in simple language for someone who’s never read the Bible.”
  • “Create 3 discussion questions for Acts 2:42-47 that focus on obedience, not just knowledge.”
  • “Help me explain what a ‘Person of Peace’ is in one paragraph.”

Why it matters: It saves you hours of prep time. You can focus on facilitating, not scrambling to create content.

Pro tip: The better your prompt, the better the output. Be specific. Tell it what you need.

Tool #3: AI Translation for Heart Languages

What it is: AI tools that translate DMM resources into dozens of languages instantly.

How it works: Tools like Google Translate, DeepL, or ChatGPT can translate training materials, Discovery Group questions, or even entire curriculums.

Why it matters: The gospel doesn’t just speak English. If you’re working cross-culturally, AI can help you get resources into someone’s heart language fast.

Example use case:

  • You have a Discovery Group curriculum in English.
  • You need it in Spanish, Swahili, or Mandarin.
  • Paste it into ChatGPT or DeepL and ask: “Translate this into [language].”

The bottom line: Language barriers don’t have to slow down multiplication.

Tool #4: AI for Prayer Prompts and Journaling

What it is: Using AI to help you pray more specifically and strategically for movements.

How it works: Ask ChatGPT or the DMM Coach to create prayer prompts based on Scripture, your context, or specific needs.

Example prompts:

  • “Create a 7-day prayer guide for someone starting their first Discovery Group.”
  • “Give me 5 prayer prompts based on Luke 10:2 for reaching my city.”
  • “Help me journal through what God is teaching me about multiplication.”

Why it matters: Movements start on our knees. AI can help you pray with more focus and intentionality.

The bottom line: Prayer doesn’t have to feel repetitive or vague. AI can help you go deeper.

The Big Picture

Here’s what I want you to hear: AI is a tool, not a replacement.

It doesn’t replace the Holy Spirit. It doesn’t replace obedience. It doesn’t replace you showing up and loving people well.

But it can remove the friction. It can save you time. It can help you focus on what matters most—making disciples who make disciples.

Start with one tool this week. Try the DMM Coach. Play around with ChatGPT. See how it feels.

You don’t have to be a tech expert. You just have to be willing.
