REPLICATION ESSENTIALS A weekly touchpoint for those answering God’s call to make disciples who make disciples. The Tool That Transcribes Your Coaching Calls and Turns Them Into Training I come to confess something. We had one of the best coaching conversations I’ve been part of in a long time a few weeks ago. Dennis shared how he’s been building disciple making habits into a small group of young dads in Cincinnati. Brad called in from Costa Rica with a report of 28 Discovery Bible Studies multiplying from one trained pastor. Rick talked about finally releasing his leaders in India and Sri Lanka to train others instead of waiting on him. It was gold. And most of it would have just… disappeared. That’s the problem with great coaching conversations. They happen. People are moved. Insights land. And then everyone closes their laptop and goes back to their week — and half of it evaporates. Here’s what changed that for us: AI transcription and summarization tools. We now record every DMM Coaching Circle, run it through a tool like Otter.ai or Fathom, and within minutes we have a full transcript, a summary of key insights, and action items — ready to be turned into training material, newsletter content, or coaching notes. It’s not magic. But it’s close. Here’s what this means practically: 1. Your best coaching moments don’t have to die in the Zoom room. When Dennis described his 4-month discipleship commitment — the overnight retreat, the weekly rhythms, the monthly accountability — that’s a reproducible framework. But only if someone captures it. AI transcription means nothing gets lost. The insight Dennis shared about “not doing people a favor by making disciple-making casual” is now something we can pass on. 2. Ordinary conversations become training content. You don’t need a studio. You don’t need a curriculum team. You need a conversation worth having — and a tool that captures it. The same principles Roy talked about on that call (catalytic vs. gravitational leadership, building team culture, the rhythm of meetings that add value) can become a training module, a newsletter, or a coaching guide. The raw material is already there. 3. It removes the bottleneck of the expert. This is the counterintuitive part. The more you capture and distribute what happens in your coaching circles, the less people need you specifically to be in the room. That’s not a threat — that’s multiplication. When Brad’s insights from Costa Rica can reach a leader in Pretoria (like Gideon, who was on the same call), that’s the gospel traveling further than any one person can carry it. 4. It’s simple enough that anyone can do it. Otter.ai is free to start. Fathom connects directly to Zoom. You hit record, have the conversation, and let the tool do the rest. If you can lead a Discovery Group, you can use these tools. The barrier is lower than you think.
The bottom line: Jesus said “I will make you fishers of men.” That word make is intentional. There’s a skill-building process involved. And part of that process — especially in 2026 — is learning to steward the conversations God is already giving you. Your coaching calls are full of wisdom. Your team meetings contain breakthroughs. Your peer conversations hold the kind of insight that took years to earn. Don’t let it disappear. Capture it. Distribute it. Let it multiply. This week’s practical step: Next time you have a coaching call or team meeting — record it. Drop it into Granola, Read.Ai or Fathom. Read the summary. Ask yourself: What here is worth passing on? That’s it. Start there. Ready to go deeper? Join the DMM Community — Connect with practitioners around the world who are figuring this out together. You don’t have to multiply alone. Join a Coaching Circle — Monthly Zoom calls, peer support, and real-time coaching for wherever you are in your DMM journey. Inside. Outside. Emerging. There’s a circle for you. Keep going. Keep sharing. Keep replicating. — Roy & The Mercy Alliance Team Want to make sure you keep getting these?
